Special Cancellation of the “100 Years of Civil Service” Stamp and Thematic Envelope

During the Х Annual Richelieu Academic Readings a solemn Ceremony of the Special Cancellation of the “100 Years of Civil Service” Stamp and Thematic Envelope, which were issued by Ukraine`s national post (Ukrposhta) on the occasion of the solemn commemoration of a memorable date was held.

On a stamp in the flesh-coloured frame on a gray background the logo “100 Years of Civil Service”is depicted, on the burgundy background is text element "Ukraine" (below the years «1918 - 2018»), on both sides of the inscription are coats of arms: on the left is the Coat of Arms of the National Liberation Movement from 1917 to 1921, on the right is the modern Coat of Arms of Ukraine. In the upper right corner are rays, which depicted diagonally down.

The stamp corresponds to the tariff of resending a non-priority simple letter weighing up to 20 grams within Ukraine. Circulation of envelope and stamp is 315 copies.

Head of the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service Kostiantyn VASHCHENKO, Head of the Main Department of Civil Service of Ukraine from 2003 to 2011, Doctor of Philosophical Sciences, Professor, Member (Academician) of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine Tymofii MOTRENKO and representative of Ukrposhta took part in ceremony of the special cancellation of the stamp.

Gender equality in civil service

The National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service (hereinafter - NAUCS) implements a number of measures to ensure equal rights and opportunities for women and men and to overcome all forms of discrimination based on gender. Subpoint 7 of paragraph 1 of Article 4 of the Law of Ukraine “On Civil Service” as of December 10, 2015 No. 889-VIII defines that one of the principles of civil service is to ensure equal access to civil service, that is, the prohibition of all forms and manifestations of discrimination, the absence of unreasonable restrictions or providing unjustified advantages to certain categories of citizens during entry and completion of civil service.
