On February 24, 2015 at the premises of the State Agency for Land Resources of Ukraine the firth steering committee meeting of the Twinning project “Assistance in Development of an Open and Transparent Agricultural Land Market” took place.

The Project Leader of the state agency for land resources of Ukraine Liudmyla Shemelynets and Project Leader of the Netherlands Niek Bosmans in their welcome speech underlined the high level of interaction between partners and expressed readiness to support the further implementation of the project.

During the meeting, participants discussed the summary of completed activities and fulfillment of mandatory results and benchmarks with a view to updating them. The RTA Stephen Verbunt presented the quarterly report of the project. Moreover the activities for the next quarter and the date of the next meeting of the Project Steering Committee were considered.

The Junior Project Leader of the Federal Republic of Germany Katja Dells, the Junior Project Leader of the Republic of Lithuania Wilma Dauhalyene, the Counsellor of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany to Ukraine for Food, Agriculture and Consumer Protection Ansgar Ashfalk and the Head of Sector for agriculture, food security and land reform of EU Delegation to Ukraine Enzo Damiani attended the event.

The Head of the Division of International Cooperation Projects of the Projects Management Unit of the Center for Adaptation of the Civil Service to the Standards of the European Union Artem Takhtarov attended the event.

For reference: since 2005 according to the Decree of the President of Ukraine dated on 06.10.2005 № 1424/2005 «The Issue on Provision of the Twinning Programme Implementation in Ukraine» the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service directs and coordinates the activity on preparation and implementation the Twinning Programme in Ukraine. Moreover the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service is the national coordinator of implementation of the institutional building instrument.
