On 3-4 December 2015 TAIEX workshop on Radio and Telecommunication Terminal Equipment was held. The event was initiated by State Service of Special Communication and Information Protection of Ukraine.

The aim of the workshop was to transfer knowledge on the Radio Equipment Directive (RED), the Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive and conformity assessment procedures.

Experts from Lithuania and Finland presented information regarding EU legislation and compare different Directives in aforesaid area, the order on creation and registration of the types of the radioelectronic facilities in the systems that could be situated on EU market, and the order on selection of the samples of radioelectronic facilities for control. 

In the workshop took part representatives of State Service of Special Communication and Information Protection of Ukraine, Ministry of economic development and trade of Ukraine, Ukrainian Internet Association, State Enterprise “Ukrmetrteststandart”, Ukrainian State Centre of Radio Frequencies, Ukrainian Scientific Research Institute of Radio and Television and others. 

For reference: since 2005 according to the Decree of the President of Ukraine dated 06.10.2005 № 1424/2005 «The Issue on Provision of the Twinning Programme Implementation in Ukraine» the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service directs and coordinates the activity on preparation and implementation the Twinning Programme in Ukraine. Moreover the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service is the national coordinator of implementation of the institutional building instrument TAIEX and CIB Programme according to the relevant legal acts. For the purpose of proper coordination of Twinning, TAIEX and CIB Programme was established the Twinning Programme Administration Office in Ukraine, whose functions are performed by the Center for Adaptation of Civil Service to EU standards.
