Working meeting with representatives of Hanns Seidel Foundation

On July 26, 2017 at the premises of the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service (hereinafter – NAUCS) a working meeting of the Head of the NAUCS Kostiantyn Vashchenko with Regional Manager of the Hanns Seidel Foundation in Ukraine, the Republic of Moldova and Romania Daniel Seiberling took place.

The event was held in order to discuss the priority areas of cooperation between the NAUCS and Hanns Seidel Foundation.

Head of the NAUCS Kostiantyn Vashchenko in his opening speech admitted the importance of cooperation with Hanns Seidel Foundation and outlined next steps within the framework of professionalization of civil servants and self-government authorities officials in the context of public administration and civil service reform.

Regional Manager of the Hanns Seidel Foundation in Ukraine, the Republic of Moldova and Romania Daniel Seiberling pointed out the importance of mutually beneficial partnership with NAUCS as well as noted the interest in further enhancing cooperation.

Assistant to Manager of the Hanns Seidel Foundation in Ukraine, the Republic of Moldova and Romania Olena Maksymova and First Deputy Director of the Center for Adaptation of the Civil Service to the Standards of the European Union Yuliia Lykhach also attended the event.

For reference: Hanns Seidel Foundation in Ukraine operates in three main areas: internal security, public administration and civil society development.

The main directions of work of the Delegation of the Hanns Seidel Foundation in Ukraine in the public administration area are :

  • promotion the exchange of experience between employees of government and local self-government authorities of Ukraine and Bavaria;
  • assistance in training and professional development of government authorities and officials of local self-government authorities of Ukraine;
  • development of training courses and programs with the best European practices;
  • “Manual of Management for Newly Appointed Civil Servants”.
