Access to public information
In order to ensure transparency and openness of the Centre for Adaptation of the Civil Service to the Standards of the European Union (hereinafter referred to as the Centre), to create mechanisms for exercising the right to access information in its possession and information of public interest, the Centre provides access to public information in accordance with the procedure established by law by systematically and promptly publishing information and responding to information requests.

According to the Law of Ukraine ‘On Access to Public Information’, public information is information reflected and documented by any means and on any media that was obtained or created in the course of fulfilment by public authorities of their duties under the applicable law or that is in the possession of public authorities.

A request for information may be individual or collective, submitted orally, in writing or in any other form (by mail, fax, telephone, e-mail) at the requestor’s discretion.

In order to simplify the procedure for making requests for information, we suggest that requests be made in the recommended form. A request for information may be made in any form. It should include:

1) the name and surname of the requestor, postal address or e-mail address, and telephone number

2) a description of the information that the requestor would like to receive (or the type, name, details or content of the document in respect of which the request is made)

3) signature and date.

Requests for public information are submitted on working days from 9.00 to 17.00 (on Fridays and on the eve of holidays – from 9.00 to 16.00):

Requests for public information submitted in person or by phone are not accepted during lunchtime (from 13.00 to 13.45).

All requests received by e-mail (mail) on weekends, holidays or non-working days are registered on the next business day following these days.

If a person is unable to submit a written request for valid reasons (disability, limited physical capabilities, etc.), the person responsible for access to public information shall draw up the request, indicating his/her name and contact phone number in the request, and provide a copy of the request to the person who submitted it.
