Representatives of the Center for Adaptation of the Civil Service to the Standards of the European Union joined a training on the practical application of the CAF at the Department (Center) for Administrative Services in Kyiv

On May 28, 2025, representatives of the Center for Adaptation of the Civil Service to the Standards of the European Union joined a training on the practical application of the Common Assessment Framework (CAF). The event was held at the Department (Center) for Administrative Services in Kyiv.

The participants of the training had the opportunity to learn about the basic principles of the CAF model, its phases and approaches, to deepen their knowledge of important aspects of self-assessment and its application in practice, to learn more about the implementation and use of the CAF model in Ukraine.

The speakers were Natalia Shamrai, Director of the Department (Center) for Administrative Services in Kyiv, Maryna Kanavets, Director of the Center for Adaptation of the Civil Service to the Standards of the European Union, Sandra Fuhr, Project Manager Eastern Partnership Regional Project for Public Administration Reform, GIZ, Hrachik Yarmaloyan, Regional Project Manager “Re-engineering of Public Services in the Eastern Partnership”, GIZ, Tihana Puzić, Deputy Head of the European CAF Resource Centre, EIPA, Nick Thijs, Senior Policy Advisor, Team leader on service delivery and digital government, OECD-SIGMA .

In her speech, Maryna Kanavets, Director of the Center, described the activities of the Ukrainian National CAF Resource Center, the role of which, according to the decision of the European Network of CAF National Correspondents of October 1, 2019, is performed by the Center for Adaptation of the Civil Service to the Standards of the European Union. In particular, the main areas of activity in this area were highlighted as follows: providing methodological and analytical support to all stakeholders on the practical aspects of implementing the CAF model; organizing educational events; conducting analytical research; sharing information, best practices and many other activities.
