First training stage of the School “Future Civil Servant” was held

 

 

 

On 17-18 June, 2017 at the premises of the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service the first training stage of the School “Future Civil Servant” was held. The Project is organized by the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service, the Center for Adaptation of the Civil Service to the Standards of the European Union in joint cooperation with the Centre for Respective Initiatives and Studies supported by the Democracy Reporting International (DRI).

Within the framework of the training the participants of the School considered the system of Ukrainian government authorities and their interaction as well as backbone of civil service in Ukraine. They also found out how to build a carrier and what the prospects of employment in government authorities are. In addition the lectors focused on the EU–Ukraine Association Agreement implementation issues and presented information on the challenges in civil servants’ activities in the context of the European integration of Ukraine.

At the same time, the participants of the School during two days reviewed the regulatory documents that are drawn up in civil service as well as developed the skills of their preparing. Each participant got a personal assignment, the result of which will be presented during the next training stage on 01–02 July, 2017.

After the training all the participants will receive a certificate of participation and will be recommended for internship in government authorities.

School “Future Civil Servant” is a short-term training aimed at the involvement of youth people in civil service through clarification the basic elements of civil service as well as instruments and practices, necessary for work in government authorities.

147 applications within the framework of the Project realization from all regions of Ukraine were received and only 24 contenders aged to 35 years with higher education and fluent English were selected.

24 representatives from 11 regions of Ukraine (Kharkiv, Poltava, Zaporizhia, Vinnytsia, Chernivtsi, Volyn, Rivne, Mykolaiv, Lviv, Khmelnytskyi and Kyiv) are taking part in the training.  10 of them represent Kyiv and Kyiv region and 14 of them represent other regions.
