The 43rd session of OECD Public Governance Committee is concluding.

  Ukraine as a permanent Public Governance Committee observer is represented by Natalia Kyrychenko, Deputy Director of Center for Adaptation of Civil Service to the European Union Standards. The event is conducted for the purpose of realization of Plan for implementation of Roadmap for Cooperation with OECD for 2011-2014.

             Today there were discussed ways of public services delivery improvement at times of fiscal consolidation, innovations in public services delivery aimed at expenditures minimization on their delivery; contribution and principles of citizens and business partnership use in public service delivery improvement.
             The Participants of the session also discussed issues of engaging in global policy dialogue on public governance. Delegates received an update on the progress with the Strategy for OECD Global Relations.
          Today there also was discussed “Government at a Glance 2011” survey. It is a biennial publication aimed at OECD Member-states governing systems analysis by 30 indicators. The survey includes comparison of political and institutional frameworks of governments’ functioning, contains revenue, expenditures and employment data, indicators on openness, righteousness and e-government. This year Ukraine was included in the survey for the first time.
          Natalia Kyrychenko met an OECD expert Martin Forst. In the course of the meeting relevant questions on further OECD-Ukraine cooperation were discussed, particularly, in the framework of Public Governance Committee, collaboration with SIGMA programme and others.
