Study visit to the Canada School of Public Service begun

A study visit of the Director of the School Senior Civil Service Oleksandr Saienko and the First Deputy Director of the Center for Adaptation of Civil Service to standards of the European Union Andriy Bega to the Canada School of Public Service (Ottawa) begun with the aim of study the approach of the Canadian Government to development and train managers - leaders in civil service in Canada.

The purpose of this study visit is participating of the Ukrainian delegation in the 5-day training course on leadership development "Consciousness Leader and Leadership in Action" conducted by the School of Public Service of Canada with the participation of senior managers in public service in Canada. This training is aimed at personal development leader and his ability to lead the team and its influence on organizational culture.

Participation of the Ukrainian delegation in the training course was organized as a result of the visit to Canada of the Head of MDCSU Tymofiy Motrenko in November 2010 according with the invitation of the President of the Public Service Commission of Canada Maria Barrados.
  Members of the visit will hold a series of meetings with a team of the School of Public Service of Canada, which is working to develop training modules within the Leadership Development Program 2011, for detailed discussion of goals, objectives and content of training modules to be taught at the School of Senior Civil Service in Ukraine during 2011. Also during the visit envisages meetings with heads of schools of training and retraining of public officials responsible for education and training to the agencies of Canada.
  The study tour lasts from 7 until 17 March 2011 and is supported by the project "Ukrainian Civil Service Human Resource Management Reform".
