Cooperation between Ukraine and French Republic in the sphere of civil service

On May 27, 2010 Head of the Main Department of Civil Service of Ukraine Tymofiy Motrenko held a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic to Ukraine Jacques Faure.

 
Representatives of the Embassy of the French Republic in Ukraine Anne Durufle and Laurence Levaudel, Director of the ADETEF Kyiv Office Alain Thibault, the Head of the international department of the National School of Administration of the French Republic Emmanuel Vergne, Resident Twinning Advisor (representative of the National School of Administration of the French Republic) Hugues Fantou and the representative of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the French Republic Raymond Piganiol took part in the meeting; from the Ukrainian side there were Director of the Center for Adaptation of the Civil Service to the Standards of the European Union Serhiy Kucheruk, Director of the School for Senior Civil Service Tetyana Kovtun, Deputy Head of the Division for Organizational and Analytic Support to the Head and Human Resources Management, the Head of the Unit for the Protocol and Public Relations, Press-Secretary Antonina Bondarenko.
 
All possible ways of Ukrainian-French cooperation development and the main goals of cooperation for 2010 were discussed during the meeting.

Tymofiy Motrenko expressed the hope that the meeting would become an important step on the way to development of bilateral cooperation with the French partners and it would promote the process of preparation of Intergovernmental Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of the French Republic. The signing of the Agreement above mentioned is supposed to take place in October, 2010 during the visit of the President of Ukraine to the French Republic.

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic to Ukraine Jacques Faure assured that France longs to support all the reforms that take place in Ukraine. Thus cooperation in the area of development of public administration is to be determinant for the Ukraine-France relations; it is to strengthen the impact of France on Ukraine.

Representatives of the both sides supported their intentions having signed the Agreement on Cooperation as well as the Memorandum on Cooperation between the Main Department of Civil Service of Ukraine, the School for Senior Civil Service and the National School of Administration of the French Republic.
