On March 29, 2017 at the premises of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine the interagency meeting on cooperation between Ukraine and the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (hereinafter — BSEC) was held.
The members of the meeting discussed the participation of the central executive authorities in the events that are provided by the Turkish Chairmanship-in-Office for the first half of 2017 (including ministerial-level events), coordination of sectorial directions of cooperation within the BSEC, proposals of ministries and agencies on preparing multilateral documents and initiatives as well as organization of events of sectorial directions in Ukraine, including high-level events that should be taken into account during the preparation of priorities and programme of the Ukrainian Chairmanship-in-Office in the second half of 2017.
As a result of the interagency meeting decision on strengthening interagency cooperation within the framework of realization of activities under the BSEC Action Plan for 2017 was accepted.
The representatives of Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine, Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Ministry of Culture of Ukraine, Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine, Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine, Ministry of Health of Ukraine, Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine, Ministry of Finance of Ukraine as well as representatives of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, State Fiscal Service of Ukraine, Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry attended the meeting.
On behalf of the Center for Adaptation of the Civil Service to the Standards of the European Union the Senior Consultant of the SIGMA and CIB Project Division of the Projects Management Unit Olena Rachynska took part in the event.

in 1992, the Istanbul Summit Declaration on the establishment of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation was signed in Istanbul, Turkey. In 1998, the Chapter of the BSEC was signed at the Yalta Summit. It came into force in 1999. The BSEC consists of 12 members: Azerbaijan, Albania, Bulgaria, Armenia, Greece, Georgia, Moldova, Russia, Romania, Serbia, Turkey and Ukraine.
According to the Charter, the member countries cooperate in different areas, including public administration reform. The main body of the BSEC is the Council of Foreign Ministers, subsidiary bodies of the BSEC are working groups on various issues. The executive body of the BSEC is the Permanent International Secretariat of the Organization that is located in Istanbul.
In April, 2009 Ukraine received the status of coordinator of the BSEC Working Group on Institutional Development and Good Governance. Ukrainian Chairmanship-in-Office is provided in the second half of 2017.
