On April 4, 2017 at the premises of the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service the training seminar for the second group of representatives of higher education institutions, who are responsible for training masters under the specialty on Master’s Programme for the “Public Management and Administration”, took place.
Director of the Center for Adaptation of the Civil Service to the Standards of the European Union Maryna Kanavets, Department Chair on Education Management of the National Academy for Public Administration under the President of Ukraine Nataliia Protasova and Head of the Swiss-Ukrainian Project “Development of Citizenship Competences in Ukraine” (DOCCU), Lecturer of the Unit of Education and Society of the Department of Professional Development of the Zurich University of Teacher Education Dr. Iris Henseler welcomed all participants of the meeting.
During the 3-day training participants will:
- review the issues on the education for democratic citizenship and human rights education as the way of demanding democracy;
- learn the Swiss experience on improving of study system in higher education institutions;
- discuss the issues on development of citizenship competences of civil servants in the process of training masters under the specialty on Master’s Programme for the “Public Management and Administration”.

The Swiss–Ukrainian Project of International Technical Assistance “Development of Citizenship Competences in Ukraine” (DOCCU) is implemented in Ukraine within the framework of the Swiss Cooperation Strategy for Ukraine for 2015–2018, in particular within the direction “Local Self-Government and Public Services”. The Swiss Confederation is the donor of the Project, and the Zurich University of Teacher Education (Switzerland) is the main performer of the Project.
