On 18 May, 2018 the coordination meeting with representatives of the embassies and international programmes took place in the premises of the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service (the NAUCS). The meeting was organized in order to discuss the proper implementation of the action plan to reforming professional training system of civil servants and local self-government officials.
Head of the NAUCS Kostiantyn VASHCHENKO made the opening speech and outlined the importance of professional training for civil servants and local self-government officials, and stressed the need and importance of further cooperation with international programmes in order to establish a modern, integrated, mobile and flexible proffesional training system with well-developed infrastructure, efficient management and proper resource potential.
First Deputy Head of the NAUCS Volodymyr KUPRII stressed that the meeting was focused on professional training of civil servants and local self-government officials, and noted that further training should be based on the studying needs and principles of continuity. It was also emphasized that there was a need of training programmes verification provided by donor institutions and for the improvement of qualifications in human resources management services.
Deputy Programme Director of ”U-LEAD with Europe”, Alexandra FEHLINGER, and Strategic Advisor of Programme Director, Iain MACKIE, made a presentation on streamlining capacity development approach through thematic support packages.
Representatives of the Council of Europe, Sylvia IVANOVA and Andriy GUK, outlined the directions of the organization's activities in the area of civil servants training.
Director of the Malopolska School of Public Administration, Krzysztof GLUC, outlined the main directions of the USAID / DOBRE programme activities aimed at achieving sustainable results.
During the coordination meeting, representatives of the international organizations and programmes presented the main directions of their activities as well as emphasized the importance of the action plan implementation to reforming professional training system of civil servants and local self-government officials.
