For the first time in Ukraine, education and trainings on the methodology of the Council of Europe for officials of local self-government will be counted as professional development.

The relevant mechanism was approved by the Council of Europe "Decentralization and Local Self-Government Reform in Ukraine" and National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service.

The relevant Memorandum on Cooperation also provides for the involvement of a group of government experts from the Council of Europe in developing a model professional development programme for managers of human resources and units of local governments of the united territorial communities as well as carrying out a number of tasks of the Action Plan on the implementation of the Concept for reforming the professional training system of public servants.
