On June 14, 2018 at the premises of NATO Liaison Office in Ukraine a training workshop for members of Management Board of NATO Programme for Professional Development of Civilian Personnel in Security and Defence Sector of Ukraine (hereinafter - NATO PDP) was held in order to provide detailed information on the possibilities of launching and implementation of projects by the government authorities of Ukraine within the framework of the NATO PDP Policy.
NATO PDP Manager Ove Urup-Madsen in his opening speech welcomed the participants and wished fruitful work.
The training workshop took the format of the world cafe. The participants worked in four separate groups, each of which had to answer a number of questions regarding the preparation for the Management Board and to submit their proposals for the implementation of activities within the NATO PDP.
On behalf of Projects Management Unit of the Center for Adaptation of the Civil Service to the Standards of the European Union, Senior Consultant of the International Cooperation Division Anatolii Sopilka and Senior Consultant of Twinning Coordination Division Yuliia Yerchenko attended the event.

NATO PDP was launched in October 2005 during the High-Level NATO-Ukraine Consultations (Vilnius, Lithuania). NATO PDP envisages not only the practical training of specialists, but also the specific financial contributions from the Allies.
The mission of NATO PDP is to increase the professional skills of civilian officials working in the security sector in order to strengthen the capacity for effective democratic governance, oversight and reform.
Management Board of NATO PDP consists of representatives of a number of state authorities and other government bodies working together to develop, coordinate and implement educational projects implemented with the support of NATO PDP.
