On July 1, 2019 the third educational module “Gender Impact Assessment and Gender-Based Legal Analysis” of the training course “School of Trainers on Gender-Based Legal Analysis” was started and will last 3 days.
The event is organized by the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service jointly with the Office of the Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine with support of the UN Women “Gender Equality at the Center of the Reforms, Peace and Security” in Ukraine (funded by the government of Sweden) and aimed at professional training of civil servants and local self-government officials on gender-based legal analysis.
During mentioned educational module the experts on gender issues Olha ZHUKOVA and Nataliia DMYTRUK presented the approaches for sectoral analysis, forecast and gender impact assessment.
Acting Deputy Director of the Department - Head of the Department of Social, Labor and Humanitarian Law of the Department of Public Law of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine Nataliia GOLIEVA familiarized the participants with the procedure for determining the mechanism for gender-based legal analysis of legislation and draft legal acts.
In addition the participants learned about the methods of training as a form of learning, identified the components of training processes for further training civil servants and local self-government officials.
Representatives of higher education institutions and the Center for retraining and advance training of representatives of government and local self-government authorities take part in the event.
