Fifth Meeting of the SAA TWG Project Steering Committee

On 12 February 2009 a meeting of the Steering Committee for the TWG project of the State Aviation Administration of Ukraine (SAA) was held at the Beneficiary’s premises. The goal of the meeting was to assess the progress of the Harmonisation with EU Norms of the Legislation and Standards of Ukraine in the Field of Civil Aviation Twinning project in the reporting period stated in the Sixth Quarterly Report.

Participants of the meeting were: Henri-Georges Baudry, MS Project Leader (PL); Dmytro Babeichuk, PL Counterpart; Sylvain Ladiesse, Resident Twinning Adviser; Vsevolod Petrovskiy, RTA Counterpart; David Ceschia, Project Manager, ECD; Maryna Andreyanova, EU Monitoring Programme Expert; Valentyna Afanasyeva, PAO Project Coordinator, and Alina Heleskul, ITO Operations Expert.

In the last three months the Addendum to the project Contract was approved by the Delegation of the European Commission to Ukraine. Through the Addendum changes to the mandatory results are inserted, making them more realistic and achievable. It was particularly emphasised that the Beneficiary Administration should meet its engagements regarding achieving the revised results. The representatives of the SAA also informed about the priorities in the results of the project, which should be achieved till the end of the project (July 2009). Among them are: developing procedures and conducting training sessions.

After discussion, the next Steering Committee Meeting was planned for 23 April 2009.
