On April 21, 2026, a meeting of CAF National Correspondents took place in Maastricht (Kingdom of the Netherlands). The event was organised by the European CAF Resource Centre at the European Institute of Public Administration in cooperation with the European Public Administration Network.
With the support and facilitation of the Regional School of Public Administration, Ukraine was represented by Ms Hanna Tretiachenko, First Deputy Director of the Center for Adaptation of the Civil Service to the Standards of the European Union and representative of the Ukrainian CAF National Resource Center.
The meeting programme covered the activities of the European CAF Resource Centre and the future development of the European CAF network. Participants presented national achievements and shared best practices on the institutionalisation of CAF centres.
Particular attention was paid to improving the quality of public administration, including the application of a user-centred approach and scaling up reforms in cooperation with the Directorate-General for Structural Reform Support of the European Commission. Discussions also addressed the use of agile approaches to simplify procedures and reduce administrative burden, as well as the integration of modern technologies, including elements of artificial intelligence, into CAF processes.
In addition, participants reviewed the current state of the CAF model update, discussed key directions for its further development, and considered the draft CAF Network Action Plan for 2026–2027.
The participants emphasised the importance of strengthening cooperation within the CAF network and enhancing the exchange of practical experience to improve the capacity of public institutions.
Participation in the meeting contributed to deepening professional dialogue and to further aligning Ukraine’s public sector quality management practices with European approaches.
