On March 17, 2016 at the premises of the State Aviation Service of Ukraine (hereinafter -SASU) the working meeting concerning the discussion of preparation of the Twinning contract technical details for the SASU “Approximation of the legislation of Ukraine in the fields of certification of aerodromes /airports and airworthiness with the relevant EU norms and standards”.
The main objective of the project is to support the sustainable development of civil aviation of Ukraine and its integration into EU transport system, while guiding the process of approximation of aviation rules of Ukraine with the corresponding EU acquis acts and assisting their implementation in the fields of certification of aerodromes/ airports and airworthiness of aircraft and related products, parts and appliances as well as for the certification of design and production organizations.
The main purpose of the meeting was to discuss of the status of the Twinning contract preparation, in particular issues regarding involvement of key STEs and coordinators while implementation, as well as future project activities.
In the meeting took part the MS Project Leader from Spain Eugenia Llorens Beltran de Heredia, RTA Juan Diaz Saaverda, Head of International Department and European Integration Serhii Korshuk, focal point from Airworthiness Directorate Olha Ivanova, focal point from Airports and Aerodromes Department Lesia Grygorieva, sector manager on transport of the Delegation of the EU to Ukraine Svitlana Didkivska and other representative of SASU.
The Senior Consultant of the Twinning Coordination Sector of the Center for Adaptation of the Civil Service to the Standards of the European Union Olesia Voroniuk attended the meeting.
For reference: since 2005 according to the Decree of the President of Ukraine dated on 06.10.2005 № 1424/2005 «The Issue on Provision of the Twinning Programme Implementation in Ukraine» the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service directs and coordinates the activity on preparation and implementation the Twinning Programme in Ukraine. Moreover the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service is the national coordinator of implementation of the institutional building instrument.
