On May 17, 2017 at the premises of the Ministry of Economic Development and Investments of Republic of Armenia three-day workshop “Exchange of Experience on Planning, Management and Coordination of EU Assistance” was started.
The event was organized by the Ministry of Economic Development and Investments of Republic of Armenia in joint cooperation with the Delegation of the European Union to Armenia within the framework of the project “Support to the Coordinator of EU Assistance” in order to share the experience and review the main principles of programming in the area of planning, management and coordination of EU assistance in Republic of Serbia, Republic of Armenia, Georgia and Ukraine. Furthermore, during the workshop participants are going to discuss the issues on implementation of institutional building instruments Twinning and TAIEX in the mentioned countries.
On May 18, 2017 First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Investments of Republic of Armenia Garegin Melkonyan in his opening speech welcomed the participants of the workshop and outlined the importance of holding such events that contribute to make an effective experience exchange for its further implementation in the planning, management and coordination of EU assistance systems in the participating countries.
The cooperation features between the EU and Republic of Serbia, Republic of Armenia, Georgia, Ukraine were discussed during the meeting. Moreover, the main challenges and advantages of the planning, management and coordination of EU Assistance in the mentioned countries as well as institutional regulators on cooperation issues with the EU and line ministries were reviewed. Special attention was focused on financial support and unit strategy development in the participating countries.
On behalf of the Center for Adaptation of the Civil Service to the Standards of the European Union the Senior Consultant of the SIGMA and CIB Project Division of the Projects Management Unit Olena Rachynska presented the Ukrainian experience in the implementation of institutional building instruments.
The representatives of the Government Office for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, Office of the State Minister of Georgia on European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, European Integration Office of the Government of Republic of Serbia, Delegation of the European Union to Armenia and other stakeholders also took part in the event.

according to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine “On Approval of the Procedure for Initiation, Preparation and Implementation of the Twinning projects” as of October 11, 2016 No 700 the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service coordinates the implementation of Institution Building Instrument Twinning in Ukraine.
In addition, according to the relevant regulatory acts the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service is the national coordinator of institution building instrument TAIEX and CIB programme implementation in Ukraine.
