On 22 June, 2017 the training “Human Resource Management in Ukraine” took place. The event was organized by the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service in joint cooperation with the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) within the framework of the Reform Advisory Fund Project.
The training was conducted for State Secretaries of the Ministries in order to exchange experience on understanding the goals of modern human resource management in the civil service.
Head of the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service Kostiantyn Vashchenko in his opening speech outlined that development of the new civil service system is impossible without taking into account the European standards in this area and understanding of essence of staff policy implementation in the civil service.
Deputy State Secretary of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Tetiana Kovtun underlined that efficiency public administration requires the development of new approaches for activity of government authorities as well as ensuring of professional civil service.
During the training representatives of the dbb akademie GmbH Hans-Joachim Rieger and Sue Treharne focused on the recruitment, motivation and evaluation of the personnel as well as presented the best European practices on human resource management in the civil service.
