The training on e-Government and e-Democracy

On September 26, 2017 at the premises of the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service (hereinafter – NAUCS) the training on Electronic Governance and Electronic Democracy has started.

The training is organized by the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service together with the State Agency for E-Governance in Ukraine, Center for Adaptation of the Civil Service to the Standards of the European Union and the Eastern Europe Foundation within the framework of implementing the Swiss-Ukrainian Programme "The Electronic Governance for Government Accountability and Community Participation” (EGAP) and will take place in two stages: September 26-28 (Stage I), October 11-12 (Stage II), 2017.

The main aim of training is improving the knowledge and skills necessary to use the modern cloud and mobile technologies, in particular in the field of human resource management and personnel policy and also to use the current interaction electronic software, means for responding to information security threats at the legislative, administrative and procedural levels.

Representatives of central and local executive authorities entrusted with human resource management and introduction of e-Government and e-Democracy technologies are participating in the event.

Head of the NAUCS Kostiantyn Vashchenko in his opening speech underlined that efficient implementation of the e-Government technologies is possible to ensure only within the framework of reforming the whole system of state authorities on comprehensive basis.

Head of the State Agency for E-Governance of Ukraine Oleksandr Ryzhenko and President of the Eastern Europe Foundation Victor Lyakh also adressed the participants.

The Electronic Governance for Government Accountability and Community Participation (EGAP) program is intended to apply modern information and communication technologies that will help improve the governance quality, improve interaction between the government and citizens, and promote social innovations in Ukraine. The EGAP Program is funded by the Swiss Confederation and implemented by the Eastern Europe Foundation and InnovaBridge Foundation.
