The purpose of the visit is learning experience of Spain on decentralization policy and advanced training of civil servants and local self-government officials.

On the first day, members of the Ukrainian delegation met with Mr Juan José González Rivas, President of the Constitutional Court of the Kingdom of Spain, visited the Court Library and had a conversation with Mr Ignacio Borrajo Iniesta, Senior Lawyer of the Court.

Furthermore, members of delegation are planning to familiarize with model and mechanisms of collaboration between central and local government.

The Ukrainian delegation includes the MPs of Ukraine, heads of central and local executive authorities, higher education institutions, officials of the Secretariat of Committee of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on State Building, Regional Policy and Local Self-Government, representatives of associations of local self-government authorities.
