In under a month the Parliament has significantly advanced in adopting bills included in the Roadmap of legislative support for the implementation of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU. This was stated during a press briefing by Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze.
"Starting February 28, the Verkhovna Rada has adopted a total of 3 bills and 7 draft laws as a basis – those included in the Roadmap. This is of paramount importance, as through the delay with the approval of framework bills we cannot progress in work on bylaws aimed to ensure the execution of the Association Agreement", said the Vice Prime Minister.
She emphasized that the mentioned Government-Parliament Roadmap is not a static document - it will undergo change, in particular in view of Ukraine's advancement in terms of the implementation of the Association Agreement and changes in the EU law. "We have already sent a letter to the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada with a request that two public healthcare bills should be included in the Roadmap", said Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze.
