On April 11-12, 2018 at the premises of the Hennadiy Udovenko Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine the training course "Champions 100" was conducted. The second module of the course was devoted to the issues on developing goals and tasks of NATO-Ukraine Annual National Programmes for 2019.
The First Deputy Director of the Diplomatic Academy Stanislav PROSHKO opened the event and congratulated the participants of the module as well as wished fruitful work in the groups.
Consultant to the Department of National Defence of Canada Mark OPGENORTH, NATO-Ukraine PDP Manager Ove URUP-MADSEN and the Deputy Head of Government Office for Coordination of European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Oleksiy GENCHEV presented their welcome speeches.
The aim of the module was to develop the practical skills of representatives of ministries and institutions of Ukraine, which deal with the issues of NATO-Ukraine cooperation on the development of strategic documents on the example of the Annual National Programme.
During two days the participants had the opportunity to be practically involved in the development of goals and tasks of Annual National Programme for 2019 on the basis of S.M.A.R.T. The work of the groups in practical classes was provided with the support of international experts, in particular, as adviser to the UK Defense Ministry Robin SEAWARD and U.S. Adviser to Government Office for Coordination of European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Dan ABAHAZY.
As a result of work in groups, the participants presented the developed strategic goals in accordance with the sections of updated structure of Annual National Programme for 2019.
On behalf of Projects Management Unit of the Center for Adaptation of the Civil Service to the Standards of the European Union, Senior Consultant of Twinning Coordination Division Yuliia Yerchenko and Senior Consultant of the International Cooperation Division Anatolii Sopilka attended the event.

100 Champions Programme is a training course consisting of distinct modules and it is implemented under the NATO–Ukraine Programme for Professional Development of Civilian Personnel in the Security and Defence Sector.
The course is aimed at professional development of civilian personnel of government authorities responsible for Euro-Atlantic integration, which involves gaining the knowledge and skills necessary for the successful preparation and implementation of Annual National Programmes and other strategic documents in the sphere of Euro-Atlantic integration.
