The Third Eastern Partnership Public Administration Reform Seminar

 On June 9, 2011, in the building of Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine there was held the third seminar on public administration reform in Eastern Partnership member states, which enlightened the topic of „Public Administration Reform for Negotiations within the Context of Eastern Partnership“. The event was organised by the Estonian Center for Eastern Partnership in cooperation with Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine, Ministry of Foriegn Affairs of Estonia and Swedish International Cooperation Agency (SIDA).

The participant of the event represented the state authorities from Eastern Partnership countries, which are involved in the negotiation processes on asossiation agreemnets with the EU in their countries.

 The 2-days event is aimed at the discussion of relevant issues concerning the negotiation process on asossiation agreements completing, including the creation of enhanced free trade zone creation between the EU and Eastern Pertnership countries, expertise exchange on these processes, connection between the negotiation process and public administration reform, etc.
 Pavlo Klimkin, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, and Vahur Made, Estonian Center for Eastern Partnership Managing Director, made an opening remarks to the participants.
 Natalia Kyrychenko, Center for Adaptation of the Civil Service to the Standards of the European Union Deputy Director participated in the discussion in the course of the event.
 Andriy Bega, First Deputy Director of the Center for Adaptation of Civil Service to the Standards of the European Union, delivered a presentation “Administrative changes needed for moving from PCA to opening AA negotiations and proceeding with negotiations: Ukrainian experience”.
 Ekke Nomm, Head of the Foundation of Estonian School of Diplomacy, was a moderator of the event.
