The study visit to the Canadian School of Public Service continues (Ottawa)

 Today, on March 15, 2011, the School of Senior Civil Service Director Oleksandr Saienko and the First Deputy Director of the Center for Adaptation of Civil Service to the European Union Standards Andriy Bega had a meeting with Louise Bourque, Executive Director of Institute on Governance Scientific Center; Mary Brodhead, Executive Director of Scientific Center of Canadian Food Inspection Agency; Lynn Roseberry, Director of Scientific Center of Canadian Public Service Ministry; Elizabeth Stoqua, Director of Center for Skills Development and Training, Ministry of Infrastructure Development and State Tenders of Canada.

 In the afternoon the delegation met the directors of civil servants’ training and retraining schools and institutes, particularly, in the Ministry of Justice, Statistics Department, Canadian Tax Service, Security Service, the Defense Ministry of Canada and Canadian Service of Penitentiary.

 The study visit to Canadian School of Public Service has been held on 5 through 17 March, 2011, and is performed with the support of “Ukrainian Pubic Service Human Resource Management Reform” project.

The Canada School of Public Service (CSPS) conducts internal training/ trainings for Canadian public servants. It has a unified approach to training, needs and development of public servants and provides necessary knowledge and skills to achieve results, which Canadians require. The school also plays a key role in developing education, training and development policy for the Government of Canada.
