Among the participants were representatives of involved public authorities – Administration of the President of Ukraine, Department of European integration of the Secretariat of the cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, Delegation of the EU to Ukraine, Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, Ministry of Economic Development and trade of Ukraine, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
Director of the Centre for Adaptation of the Civil Service to the Standards of the EU Ms Iryna Protchenko opened the meeting, describing the aim of the meeting and main tasks on drafting Institution reform Plan in the sphere of support to the implementation of the association agreement between Ukraine and the EU that is under negotiations within the framework of the CIB Programme. The Centre was also represented by First Deputy Director Mr Andrii Bega, and Deputy Director Ms Nataliya Kyrychenko.
SIGMA expert Ms Gunta Veismane informed the participants about the results of SIGMA mission held on 1-2 February 2011, described possible directions of institutional development of Euro integration policy co-ordination in Ukraine.
The participants of the meeting expressed proposals on further co-operation with the SIGMA Programme on drafting the IRP in the sphere of support to the implementation of the association agreement between Ukraine and the EU that is under negotiations.
