The assignment of Deputy Head of Main Department of the Civil Service of Ukraine Andriy Vyshnevsky to Paris (French Republic) has been started

Deputy Head of Main Department of the Civil Service of Ukraine Andriy Vyshnevsky takes part in the 1st ENPI SIGMA Networking Seminar which is held in Paris on 29-30 November 2010.

The purposes of the network seminar are: introduction of Sigma and its complementarity to other institution building instruments; discussion of main issues of public governance reform; encouraging exchange of experience amongst the community of invitees.

The seminar participants are actual and potential SIGMA beneficiaries in the ENP countries together with Programme Administration Offices and European Commission.

 The Ukrainian delegation to the seminar is also represented by Director for Bureau for European Integration of the Secretariat of Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Evgen Perelygin, Director of the Department of International Technical Assistance and cooperation with international financial organizations of the Ministry of Economy of UkraineOlena Kucherenko and Deputy Head of Unit for Constitutional, Civil and Economic Legislation of the Legal Department of the Secretariat of Cabinet of Ministers of UkraineLarysa Brovchenko.

 The event is organized by SIGMA Programme jointly with the European Commission.

SIGMA (Support for Improvement in Governance and Management) is a joint initiative of the European Union (EU) and the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), principally financed by the EU.

 SIGMA aimed at:  assisting beneficiary countries in their search for good governance to improve administrative efficiency and promote adherence of public sector staff to democratic values, ethics and respect of the rule of law; help in building up indigenous capacities at the central governmental level to face the challenges of globalisation and of European Union integration plans; support the initiatives of the European Union and other donors to assist beneficiary countries in public administration reform.
