The implementation of a CIB will be based on the provisions of the new association agreement between Ukraine and the European Union, including the deep and comprehensive free trade area, as well as on assist of its implementation.

During the visit Andriy Vyshnevsky met with Jorge de la Caballeria, Head of Unit Multi-country Programmes, EuropeAid, European Commission, head of coordination and oversight in Europe and the Caucasus in the ENP Andrea Fontana and Executive Secretary of the Delegation of EU, expert of the Directorate General "External Relations" Douglas Carpenter.
During the plenary meeting of the sixteenth round of negotiations on an association agreement between Ukraine and the European Union the Ukrainian side was handed a position paper on the preparation and implementation of CIB.
