Steering Committee Meeting of the Ukrainian Civil Service Human Resource Management Reform Project

On April 29, 2010 in the premises of the Main Department of Civil Service of Ukraine the Steering Committee Meeting of the Ukrainian Civil Service Human Resource Management Reform Project, dedicated to the discussion of the main results of the Project activity, took place.

The Head of the Main Department of Civil Service of Ukraine Tymofiy Motrenko in his welcome address underlined the importance of cooperation with the Canadian Project. He expressed the hope that in the nearest future the Project would enhance the support to the School for Senior Civil Service in accordance with the following priorities: realization of the leadership development program, working out the curriculum for the appointed leaders, development of the the Concept of formation and development of senior civil service project, involvement and activation of cooperation with the senior civil service on the regional level. 
  
During the meeting all the participants got the opportunity to listen to the results of the project activity from April, 2009 to March, 2010, the Annual Plan of the Project Realization for 2010 – 2011 was discussed and approved. The Ukrainian Party pointed out the importance of mutual cooperation, its efficiency and expressed interest in further cooperation after completion of the Project realization term.

The Councilor, the Head of Aid of Canadian Embassy in Ukraine Kati Csaba, the First Secretary of Canadian Embassy in Ukraine Guillaume Legros, the Project DirectorKristina Wittfooth, Deputy Head of the Main department of Civil Service of Ukraine Andriy Vyshnevsky, Director of the Center for Adaptation of the Civil Service to the Standards of the European Union (hereinafter – the Center) Serhiy Kucheruk, the First Deputy Director of the Center Andriy Bega, Director of the School for Senior Civil Service Tetyana Kovtun and other representatives from the Main Department of Civil Service of Ukraine, Canadian Bureau for International Education, Canadian International Development Agency took part in the meeting.
