Douglas Carpenter, representative from DG Enlargement, European Commission and Laura Garagnani, Head of Operations of the Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine headed the European part of delegation.
Andriy Vishnevsky, deputy Head of MDCSU together with Lana Zerkal, Director Department for Law Approximation Ministry of Justice of Ukraine presented an information on key public administration reform challenges in advancing towards and implementing AA/DCFTA . They expressed an opinion about Comprehensive institution building programme realization, in particular the main requirements for its implementation should be complementarity of projects to the efforts of the Government of Ukraine. Programme should include aspects of central government institutional building-improvement of the system and structure, modernization of procedure and human recourses development.
Tetyana Kovtun, Director of the School for Senior Civil Service, Main Department of the Civil Service of Ukraine presented the conception of the Regional Training Center creation.
Ukrainian delegation part suggested 7 supporting projects in the framework of Comprehensive institution building programme: 3 horizontal projects on central governments support concerning implementation of a future Association Agreement between EU and Ukraine, development e-government, the Regional Training Center creation and 4 vertical projects on migration, sanitary and phitosanitary, national assistance.
In event took part representatives from Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Economy, State Communications Committee, Antimonopoly Committee, the Coordination Bureau of European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, DG Enlargements and Delegation of the EU to Ukraine.
As a result of the mission will develop a Framework document draft of the Comprehensive programs of institutional development
