On January 29, 2014 with the participation of the representative of the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service at the premises of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine (MIU) the meeting of the steering committee of the Twinning Project “Institutional Support to the MIU regarding Improvement of the Effectiveness and Competitive Performance of the Railway Transport in Ukraine” took place.

During the meeting the state of the project implementation during the first report quarter was reviewed as well as the action plans for the next report period were considered. Core information regarding the events conducted within the framework of the project was presented by the Project Leader of the Kingdom of Spain and the Resident Twinning Advisor. The date of the next meeting of the steering committee was determined.

Yan Yakushchenko, senior consultant of the Unit of Administrative Reform Projects, SIGMA and CIB of the Center for Adaptation of the Civil Service to the Standards of the European Union, representatives of the Republic of Poland, the Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine, the State Administration of the Railway Transport of Ukraine took part in the event.  

For reference: since 2005 according to the Decree of the President of Ukraine dated on October 6, 2005 № 1424/2005 «The Issue on the Twinning Programme Implementation in Ukraine» the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service directs and coordinates the activity on preparation and implementation the Twinning Programme in Ukraine. Moreover the NAUCS is considered to be the national coordinator of the institutional building instrument TAIEX and CIB Programme according to the relevant regulatory acts
