On February 27, 2014 with the participation of the representative of the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service (hereinafter – the NAUCS) at the premises of the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine the meeting of the steering committee of the Twinning project “Support to the System of Social Services in Ukraine” was held.

 The Project is aimed at approximation of the acting legislation of Ukraine in the area of social services to the standards and practices of the European Union; in particular it touches upon the criteria for evaluating the quality of social services as well as development of the model of social services delivery. The model above mentioned is to be available and to be based on cooperation between government and non-government participants. 

 During the meeting the state of the Twinning project realization for the fifth reporting period was considered. The main achievements as well as the action plans and priority directions of activity for the next quarter were presented.

 Representatives of the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine, the EU Delegation in Ukraine as well as the Project Leader of Ukraine, the Project Leader of the partner country, Resident Twinning Advisor (the RTA) and the RTA Counterpart took part in the event.

 Anastasiya Terech, the Head of the Twinning Projects Coordination Unit of the Center for Adaptation of the Civil Service to the Standards of the European Union attended the meeting.

 For reference: since 2005 according to the Decree of the President of Ukraine dated on October 6, 2005 № 1424/2005 «The Issue on the Twinning Programme Implementation in Ukraine» the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service (hereinafter – the NAUCS) directs and coordinates the activity on preparation and implementation the Twinning Programme in Ukraine. Moreover the NAUCS is considered to be the national coordinator of the institutional building instrument TAIEX and CIB Programme according to the relevant regulatory acts
