On May 29, 2014 the working meeting between the representatives of the Twinning Programme Administration Office and the European experts: Deputy Director of the European Integration Bureau of the Republic of Latvia Ivo Rollis and Legal Expert on Economic Integration Mark Hellyer was held.

The goal of the European experts’ visit to Ukraine is preparation for future assistance of the European Union in the area of coordination of the EU – Ukraine Association Agreement Implementation.

Practical aspects regarding institutional capacity building mechanism of coordination of the EU – Ukraine Association Agreement implementation as well as forming of civil servants’ group that are to be involved into the process of coordination of the EU – Ukraine Association Agreement implementation were considered during the meeting. Furthermore the issue of creation of high-level adviser’s network from the EU member states was discussed.

For reference: since 2005 according to the Decree of the President of Ukraine dated on October 6, 2005 № 1424/2005 «The Issue on the Twinning Programme Implementation in Ukraine» the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service directs and coordinates the activity on preparation and implementation the Twinning Programme in Ukraine. Moreover the NAUCS is considered to be the national coordinator of the institutional building instrument TAIEX and CIB Programme according to the relevant regulatory acts.
