On September 4, 2014 at the premises of the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service the working meeting between the experts of the EU project “Support to Justice Sector Reforms in Ukraine” Adrien Albe, Michel Gerber and representatives of the Main Department for Combating Organized Crime of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine which is the beneficiary of the Twinning Project “Development of Criminal Analytics System in Ukraine along EU Member States’ Criminal Analysis Models and Methods” was held.

The goal of the meeting was to discuss some peculiarities of the Twinning project preparation within the framework of general justice sector reform in Ukraine. The main attention was drawn to the issues of legal policy establishment, overview of the investigator’s power and corruption combating.

As a result of the working meeting it was agreed to enhance cooperation within the framework of the Twinning Project above mentioned. Furthermore the mechanism and terms of the Twinning Fiche elaboration were defined.

On behalf of the Center for Adaptation of the Civil Service to the Standards of the European Union the Deputy Head of the Resource Management, Operation and Development Unit Anastasia Terekh attended the event.

For reference: since 2005 according to the Decree of the President of Ukraine dated October 06, 2005 № 1424/2005 «The Issue on the Twinning Programme Implementation in Ukraine» the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service (hereinafter – the NAUCS) is the coordinator of the Twinning Programme Implementation in Ukraine. Furthermore, the NAUCS is the coordinator of the institutional building instrument TAIEX and CIB Programme according to the relevant regulatory acts.
