On August 18, 2015 at the premises of the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service the 13-th meeting of the Twinning Programme Coordination Group was held.
The Head of the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service Kostiantyn Vashchenko in his welcome speech underlined that implementation of institution building instrument Twinning in Ukraine – is the key to the effective establishment and implementation of European reforms in the country. Furthermore, great interest of government authorities in Twinning instrument implementation as well as an effective cooperation with European experts was emphasized. Konstantin Vashchenko also highlighted constructive cooperation between European experts, the Twinning Programme Administration Office and beneficiaries.
The First Counsellor, the Head of Section – Economic Cooperation, Social and Regional Development Juana Mera Cabello expressed her gratitude for excellent cooperation to the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service with the EU Delegation to Ukraine, she outlined future priorities for the Twinning project call of proposals for 2016-2017.
During the meeting all the participants discussed project proposals of government authorities in order to launch new Twinning projects, and considered the overall status of this instrument in Ukraine. According to the results of the meeting approved project proposals will be included into Twinning Pipeline.
Representatives of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine and representatives of the Twinning Programme Administration Office took part in the event.
For reference: since 2005 according to the Decree of the President of Ukraine dated on 06.10.2005 № 1424/2005 «The Issue on Provision of the Twinning Programme Implementation in Ukraine» the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service directs and coordinates the activity on preparation and implementation the Twinning Programme in Ukraine. Moreover the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service is the national coordinator of implementation of the institutional building instrument.
