PADOS Project Expert Mission

On June 31-July 01, 2015 at the premises of the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service the expert mission of  “Participatory Democracy, Open Governance and Efficient eGovernment Services” (PADOS) project took place.

During the expert visit the meetings with the representatives of Ukrainian Commissioner for Human Rights, Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, State Service for Special Communication and Information Protection of Ukraine, National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service and Center for Adaptation of the Civil Service to the Standards of the European Union was held.

Marge Mardisalu-Kahar, Director of Estonian Center of Eastern Partnership, Anneli Temmes, Managing Director of HAUS Finnish Institute of Public Management Ltd, Suvi Kivistö, Project Coordinator of PADOS Project discussed with the representatives of Ukrainian government authorities the following steps within the framework of the project implementation in Ukraine.

According to the results of the meeting all the parties determined the main needs in development of Ukrainian government authorities and the priority directions of further cooperation in the sphere of information security, public relations, eGovernment, institution development and public governance.

For reference: in April, 2015 in Helsinki the kick-off the project “Participatory Democracy, Open Governance and Efficient eGovernment Services” (PADOS) took place, the Project was launched by the Finnish Institute of Public Management Ltd (HAUS), Estonian School of Diplomacy (ESD), thee-Governance Academy(EGA), and the Center for Development and Training of Public Service (ATAK) aimed to enhance the transparency and openness of the decision-making and governance in six EU Eastern Partnership (EaP) countries and to support democratic governance. The project is divided into three components that support the overall objectives of the PADOS project: 1. Participation,eDemocracy, Open Governance; 2. eGovernance, Cyber Security, Data Protection; 3. Public Management Reform and New Leadership in a Complex Environment.
