On September 22, 2015 at the premises of the Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine the working meeting concerning the discussion of preparation of the Twinning contract details for the National Commission of Ukraine for Energy State Regulation (hereinafter – NERC) «Support NERC to implement liberalized electricity market model» was held.

The goal of the project is to strengthen the capacity of NERC in order to drive the electricity market reform process in the direction of full compliance with the European acquis. 

This meeting was aimed at discussion of the status of the Twinning contract preparation, in particular issues regarding definition of mandatory results and future project activities taking into consideration the fact that the new project had been initiated by Energy Charter Secretariat to avoid the duplication with the future Twinning project for NERC.

MS Project Leader from Slovakia Myroslav Luptak, BC Project Leader Volodymyr Evdokimov, Olga Simak, Sector manager on Energy in Delegation of the EU to Ukraine, experts from Energy Charter Secretariat involved in project implementation, NERC representatives and other stakeholders took part in this meeting.
Serhiy Kopan, the Head of the Projects Management Unit and Yuliia Vasylko, Deputy Head of Projects Management Unit of the Center for Adaptation of the Civil Service to the Standards of the European Union attended the event.
