The meeting between Head of NAUCS and representatives of the World Bank

On 19 November, 2015 the meeting between the Head of the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service and representatives of the World Bank was held.

The aim of the meeting was to discuss areas of cooperation between NAUCS and World Bank in the framework of development of the Strategy  of Cooperation with Ukraine for 2016-2020.

The Head of the NAUCS Kostiantyn Vashchenko welcomed participants and informed on the current state of the public administration and civil service reforms implementation in Ukraine, pointed out the main achievements, in particular development of the Draft Law of Ukraine “On Civil Service”, the draft Strategy of Public Administration Reform for 2015-2020 and the draft Plan of implementation of the Strategy.

Country Programme Coordinator for Ukraine, Moldova and Belarus of the World Bank Alejandro Cedeno expressed interest in promoting the reform of civil service in Ukraine andexpressed his readiness for further cooperation.

Senior Project Manager Klaudiia Maksimenko also took part  in the event .

From the NAUCS the Chief Specialist of the International Cooperation Sector of the Unit of the Strategic Planning, Information and Analytic Support Yuliia Yarko attended the meeting.

From the Center for Adaptation of the Civil Service to the Standards Director Maryna Kanavets, Head of the Project Management Unit Serhii Kopan and the Head of the International Cooperation Sector Inna Bielobratova took part in the event.

For reference: the World Bank is the second largest creditor of Ukraine among international financial institutions after the IMF. Resources of the organization used to support the state budget, the implementation of institutional and structural reforms, preparation and implementation of long-term investment projects that meet the priority directions of economic development of Ukraine.

Cooperation with the World Bank based on adopted in February 2012 Partnership Strategy for Ukraine for 2012 -2016, which aims to assist the Government in implementing the program of economic reforms and integration with the EU.
