On November 30, 2015 at the premises of the Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine the meeting on selection of the project proposals from the EU Member-States who expressed their wish to cooperate with the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine in the process of the Twinning Project implementation “Support to the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine in Improving the Safety of Multimodal Goods Transport in Ukraine”.

The abovementioned Twinning Project implementation presupposes forming of the background for the safety improvement while multimodal transportation of dangerous goods in Ukraine and adaptation of the national legislation to the respect EU acquis.

During the meeting the proposals regarding prospective cooperation within the framework of the Twinning Project which had been received from the consortium of the countries including Spain, France and Poland were reviewed.

In this meeting Dr. Iago Gil Aguado, Deputy Head of the Spanish Embassy to Ukraine, Jan Kalinowski, Second Secretary of Republic of Poland in Ukraine, representatives of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine and Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine took part.

The Senior Consultant on the Twinning Coordination Sector of the Center for Adaptation of the Civil Service to the Standards of the European Union Olesia Voroniuk attended the meeting.

For reference: since 2005 according to the Decree of the President of Ukraine dated on 06.10.2005 № 1424/2005 «The Issue on Provision of the Twinning Programme Implementation in Ukraine» the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service directs and coordinates the activity on preparation and implementation the Twinning Programme in Ukraine. Moreover the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service is the national coordinator of implementation of the institutional building instrument.
