On December 10, 2015 at the premises of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine the closure event of the Twinning project “Institutional Support to the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine on Increasing the Operation Performance and the Competitiveness of the Rail Transport in Ukraine” was held.

The project purpose was to enhance the operation performance and competitiveness of rail transport of Ukraine through improving the rail sector state governance and commercial management structure.

BC Project Leader – Deputy Minister of Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine Mykola Snitko welcomed the participants of the closure conference and thanked to all members of the project team for fruitful cooperation and convinced that all project achievements would be implemented. Ambassador, Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine Jan Tombinski, Ambassador of Spain to Ukraine Gerardo Ángel Bugallo Ottone, Ambassador of the Polish Republic to Ukraine Henryk Litwin, Deputy Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Oksana Reiter, MS Project Leader Matilde Fernandez Balbin, Deputy Junior Project Leader Ireneusz Maicher and BC Deputy Project Leader representative Evgen Kravtsov welcomed the participants as well.

During the Conference the RTA Jose Antonio Samino Navo represented the general achievements of Twinning project implementation and main achievement by components.

The representatives of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine, JSC “Ukrainian Zaliznytzi” and Sector Manager on Transport of the Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine Svitlana Didkivska also attended the meeting.

The Senior Consultant of the Twinning Coordination Sector of the Center for Adaptation of the Civil Service to the Standards of the European Union Olesia Voroniuk took part in the meeting.
