On May 19, 2016 the event to mark the official opening of the EU project “Association4U/ Association for Ukraine and for you”(“Support to the implementation of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement” (further – EU project) was held.
Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Ivanna Klympush-Tsyntsadze, EU Ambassador to Ukraine, Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine Jan Tombiński , and Deputy Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine – Director of the Government Office for European Integration Nataliia Hnydiuk delivered welcoming speeches.
A key beneficiary of the project is the Government Office for European Integration of the Secretariat of Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, and sectoral ministries, central executive government authorities and other government institutions working on the implementation of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement.
EU project will be implemented within the framework of Comprehensive Institution Building (CIB) by a consortium, headed by GFA Consulting Group from January 2016 to January 2019.
EU project is directed to the improving of the institutional capacity of Ukrainian government institutions in carrying out their obligations under the implementation of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement.
It envisages technical assistance in four directions:
- approximation of Ukrainian legislation to acquis communautaire;
- development of human resources;
- development and coordination of policies;
- civil society communications.
EU project envisages involvement not only the European experts, but also Ukrainian specialists on “Programme of involvement professionals to the implementation of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement ".
Also the event was attended by international experts, representatives of ministries and central executive government authorities, non-governmental organizations, business associations, educational establishments and others.
The Deputy Head of the Projects Management Unit of the Center for Adaptation of Civil Service to the Standards of the European Union Yuliia Vasylko took part in theevent.
