On June 8, 2016 at the premises of the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service the working meeting of the Head of the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service Kostiantyn Vashchenko with NATO–Ukraine Professional Development Programme Manager (hereinafter – the Programme) Ove Urup-Madsen was conducted.
During the working meeting the main directions of further cooperation in the framework of the Programme realization in accordance with the priorities of reforming the defense and security sector in the context of Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine were discussed.
As a result of the working meeting it was decided to enhance cooperation of the NAUCS with the Programme in order to ensure its effective implementation.
On behalf of the Center for Adaptation of the Civil Service to the Standards of the European Union the Director Maryna Kanavets and the Head of the Division of International Cooperation Projects of the Projects Management Unit Inna Belobratova attended the event.
For reference: the NATO–Ukraine Programme for Professional Development of the Civilian Personnel of Security and Defense Sector was launched in October, 2005 during the NATO-Ukraine high level consultations (Vilnius, Lithuania). The Programme provides not only practical training, but specific financial contributions from the Allies. According to the conclusion of the Sixth Session of the Commission on the Ukraine's partnership with NATO the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service was established as the national coordinator of the Programme implementation.
