On October 19, 2016 at the premises of the Center for Adaptation of the Civil Service to the Standards of the European Union in the framework of the project on support to reforms in Ukraine Capacity building event for civil servants “Public administration, Human Resourse Management in the Public Sector and good Governance Reforms” was held.

Director of the State Chancellery of Latvia Krievinsh Martinsh, Director of the Cross-Sectoral Co-ordination Centre Peteris Vilks and expert on public administration Inese Voyka shared experience in the field of public administration reform with the participants of trainings.

Representatives of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine, State Agency for E-governance of Ukraine and the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service took place in capacity building event.

Among the questions that were discussed by participants of the event were the following:

- functioning the planning system in Latvia;

- Long-term strategy: development, adoption and continuous monitoring;

- How to ensure strong policy coordination and how to avoide duplication of the roles of government authorities with sectoral ministries;

- Effective cooperation with stakeholders.
