On April 8, 2017 the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko approved ”The Annual National Program under the aegis of the Commission Ukraine-NATO for 2017“ (hereinafter – ”ANP 2017”) in order to ensure the fulfillment of priority tasks of Ukraine's cooperation with NATO.
«ANP 2017» provides further development of political dialogue between Ukraine and NATO and builds a comprehensive practical cooperation with the Alliance involving the assistance of expert, financial, logistical and other capabilities of NATO and member states of Organization to strengthen the defensive capacity of Ukraine.
Within the framework of ”ANP 2017“, the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service is responsible for the general coordination of ”NATO-Ukraine Professional Development Programme for the Civilian Personnel of the Security and Defense Sector”.

”Annual National Program under the aegis of the Commission Ukraine - NATO for 2017“ is the main instrument of reforms in Ukraine with the support of NATO, which replaced the NATO-Ukraine target-oriented Action Plan in 2009.
ANP 2017 was prepared in accordance with the new order of developing Annual National Programme of Cooperation between Ukraine and NATO and evaluation of the results of their implementation, which was approved by the President of Ukraine on December 7th, 2016 No 547/2016.
