On May 17–18, 2017 a working visit to Ukraine of European experts of SIGMA Programme with the participation of senior adviser on the organization and functioning of public administration and civil service issues of SIGMA Programme Wojciech Zielinski took place.
On May 17, 2017 in the framework of the expert mission the working meeting aimed at discussion of proposals of SIGMA Programme to the draft Law of Ukraine “On Revision of the Law of Ukraine “On Civil Service” as of 23 March, 2017 No 6227 and consideration of implementation of the Law of Ukraine “On Civil Service” as of December 10, 2017 was conducted.
Head of the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service Kostiantyn Vashchenko in his opening speech outlined the main outcomes of public administration reform in Ukraine and expressed the gratitude to the SIGMA Programme for the fruitful cooperation.
Therefore Wojciech Zielinski congratulated the participants on the anniversary of implementation of the Law of Ukraine “On Civil Service”. In addition, the proposals on evaluation of virtues of civil servants as well as procedure for determining winners to the highest positions of category “A” of civil service were submitted by the expert of SIGMA Programme.
On behalf of the epresentatives of the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service the event was attended by the Head of Department for Regulatory Work and Legal Support Andrii Astapov, Head of Information Analysis Unit of Department for Strategic Planning and Policy Analysis Viktoriia Divak and the Head of Improvement of Legislation on Public Service Unit of Department for Regulatory Work and Legal Support Nataliia Krinska.
Director of the Center for Adaptation of the Civil Service Maryna Kanavets also took part in the working meeting.

SIGMA programme (Support for Improvement in Governance and Management) — is considered to be one of the most prestigious analytical centers of the European Union. It was organized with the initiative of the Organization of Economic Cooperation and Development and the European Union.
