Representatives of the Senior Civil Service Commission including the Head of the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service Kostiantyn Vashchenko take part in the study visit in order to review public administration issues in response to the invitation of the Centre for Integrity in the Defence Sector (CIDS) in Oslo, Kingdom of Norway.

The Commission members had a meeting with the leading stuff of the Norwegian Association of Local and Regional Authorities. The issues on public service development at the municipal level during the administrative and territorial reform also were discussed at the meeting.

The study visit gave to the Commission members an opportunity to get acquainted with the European experience on public administration system, distribution of powers between state secretaries and ministers, recruitment procedures to the highest positions of civil service as well as compliance with the principles and rules of virtue of civil servants.

Participation of the Commission members in the event will promote to collaborate with the Norwegian side, give on opportunity to integrate into work the best practices of competitions to the positions of the category “A” as well as familiarize with the procedures on evaluation of the integrity of civil servants during selection and appointment to the positions of civil service.
