The event was organised by the NAUCS and the Center for Adaptation of the Civil Service to the Standards of the European Union within the framework of the Working Group (panel) “Public Administration Reform” of the thematic platform “Democracy, Good Governance and Stability” of the EU initiative “Eastern Partnership”.

In the framework of the event the topical issues and implementation of the best EU Member States and Eastern Partnership Countries experience and practices regarding the formation of the effective, transparent and open civil service in accordance with the principles of good governance and on the basis of the ethical norms and values was discussed.

Within the frameworks of panel discussions and work in sections durind the first and the second day of the conference representatives of the EU Member States and Eastern Partnership countries, governmental authorities of Ukraine, international and public organizations, higher educational institutions and centers for training and professional development of personnel got the opportunity to familiarize and discuss the novations of the Law of Ukraine “On Civil Service”, to exchange the experience and best practices of the EU Member States and the Eastern Partnership countries regarding the objective recruitment and promotion, motivation of the fair behavior and ethics of the civil servants.
