On November 10-13, 2009, Director of the Center for Adaptation of the Civil Service to the Standards of the European Union, Sergiy Kucheruk, and Head of the Administrative Reform Department, Valentyna Afanasiyeva, paid a working visit to the Republic of Italy.  

On October 29-30, Director of the Center, Sergiy Kucheruk, participated in a two-day training seminar  'Human Resources Management and Prevention of Corruption: Introduction of Innovation Practices in Local Self-Government Bodies”.

A three-day seminar entitled 'Strengthening of Institutions in the Implementation of Projects' was held on October 14-16, 2009. Its mission was to present Poland’s experience in coordinating European Union (EU) technical assistance. Covering the programming, implementation, monitoring and evaluation aspects of projects, the seminar also focused on Poland’s experience using the Twinning institutional building tool (day two) during the pre-accession period to the EU.

Director of the Center for Adapation of the Civil Service of Ukraine to the Standards of the European Union, Tetiana Kovtun, participated in the Annual Meeting of Senior Officials from Centres of Government that was held on 30 September and 1-2 October 2009 in Paris, France. The topic of this year Meeting was “Managing The Crisis: From Recovery Policies To Long-Term Reforms”.

On December 21, 2009, the seminar on implementation the new anti-corruption legislature and masterclass on defamation was held in the conference-hall of the School  of Senior Civil Service.

On December 19-th, 2009 master-class under the auspices of the Dutch Institute of Public Administration (ROI) for the Senior Civil Service was held in premise of the School of Senior Civil Service.

The initiators of the event were the Main Department of the Civil Service of  Ukraine, the School of Senior Civil Service with support of United Nations Development Programme and the joint Ukrainian-Irish project “Support to Civil Service Reform in Ukraine”

On December 18-th,2009, the conference on the Summarising the Ukrainian-Polish cooperation programme “Support to Sectoral Reforms in Ukraine II” in 2009 and сoordination the partership program for 2010 took place.

On 17 December, 2009, under the chairmanship of the Mr. Andriy Vyshnevsky, the Deputy Head of the MDCSU, the meeting on methodology and content of the exploration ‘Evaluation the Potential of the State Authorities for the organizing the Association Agreement Ukraine EU: steps for the improvement’   was held. The event was organized by the support of the International Centre for Policy Studies in the framework of the ‘Analytical Support of the Integration to EU’ project.

On December, 17th, 2009 international conference “The role of the civil control in reform of system of criminal justice of Ukraine” has taken place with the assistance of the Deputy Head of the Centre for Adaptation of the Civil Service Volodymyr Dunayev.
